What does a Council member do?

Council members attend evening Council meetings 4 times a year in October, December, February and April to help to take forward concerns, issues and activities identified by the parish community itself.

Each member serves for a term of 3 years. Membership terms are staggered so that every year or two years, a proportion of the membership retires so that the Council benefits from ‘new blood’ while preserving continuity.

Outlines of specific member responsibilities are given below:

Hall Committee Representative
Parish Groups Representative
Ecumenism Representative
Social Life Representative
Fabric & Finance Representative
Liturgy Representative
Area Representatives
