Bulletin September 20th 2009

25th Sunday of Year B

Welcome Enrolled P3

At 10am Mass today we welcome the boys and girls of the Parish who will be celebrating First Confession this year.

Sea Sunday

This is the annual appeal to support the vital ministry of Stella Maris the Apostleship of the Sea (AoS), in providing pastoral and practical help to seafarers visiting our shores. This special collection will be taken as you leave the Church.

Traidcraft Stall

The Traidcraft stall WILL be available after all Masses this week. We have the new catalogue and a lot of new stock so please do come and have a look. Like everyone else the Traidcraft producers have suffered from the credit crunch and so need our support more than ever where we are able to give it.

Questionnaires

Many thanks to all those who agreed to help with the ministries in the Parish during the coming year. For your information 399 questionnaires were completed, 269 people to pray for the Parish each day and 189 volunteered to begin or continue to take part in the ministries.

Reading Group

The next meeting of the group will be on Thursday 24th September at 7.30pm in the Winning room. Please enter by back kitchen door.

Education and Formation

If you are involved in Education and Formation or would like to be, there will be a meeting on Tuesday 29th September at 7.30pm in the Theresa Hall.

Parish Groups

If you are involved in any of the groups of the Parish, you are invited to a meeting on Thursday 1st October at 7.30pm in the Theresa Hall.

Heating Situation!

As only one child, four teenagers and four adults from a large congregation asked for the heating to be put on early, we will put the heating on in October. One is reminded of Billy Connolly's famous quip "there is no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothing"!

Thank You

Morag and Jim Murray and family wish to express their sincere thanks to all the parishioners who supported them during Kevin's short, acute illness and his death. The many Mass cards and expressions of sympathy were a source of great comfort as was all the support given by Father McGrorry.

Concert for Erne

A date for your diaries.... Saturday 23rd January 2010 .... a concert in Milngavie Town Hall to celebrate the life of Erne - with music, verse and memories from family, friends and guests.
