Third Sunday of Easter Year C

Sacramental Preparation

Boys and girls of primary 4 preparing for their First Holy Communion, will meet at the Sunday Club today from 9.00 - 9.50am in the main hall. The Club runs until May 2nd.

 

St Joseph's 60+ Club

The 60+ Club will meet on Monday 19th April at 2pm in the Theresa Hall. Please enter by side door.

Meditation Group

There will be no meditation group meeting tonight, 18th April.

 

Dignity of Life

This group will meet on Tuesday 27th April at 7.30pm in the Theresa hall. Please enter by side door.

First Holy Communion

The parents of the Primary 4 children making their First Holy communion, will meet on Thursday 29th April at 7.30pm in the Theresa hall. Please enter by side door.

Vespers

You are warmly invited to join Archbishop Conti in celebrating the evening prayer of the Church on Monday 19th April at 7.00pm, and afterwards for light refreshments in the church hall in St Joseph's, Tollcross. The Preacher is Rev Bill Hewitt, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

Annual Mass

....to pray for the Canonisation of Blessed Frederic Ozanam on Wednesday 28th April in St Mungo's Townhead at 7.30pm. All welcome.

A Prayer Pilgrim

Pope Benedict will visit Fatima from 11 - 14th May and we are asked to be a Prayer Pilgrim. Join in a prayer from now until the Holy Father goes to Fatima on 11th May. Prayer cards can be found at the back of the Church.

Aid to the Church in Need

....Fundraising Concert with International Catholic Recording Star, Marilla Ness, on Thursday 29th April at 7.30pm in St Francis Xavier's Church, Carfin. Please see the noticeboard for further details.

Scottish Bible Society - Bearsden & Milngavie Action Group

This group would like to have someone from St Joseph's Parish. The next meeting is 19th April and if you would like more information please come to the Sacristy.

St Aloysius' College

On Tuesday 20th April at 7.30pm in the Senior School Hall, Thomas Groome, Director of the Institute of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry and Professor of Theology and Religious Education at Boston College, will give a talk on What Keeps us Catholic? Admission is free and all are welcome.

St Margaret's Hospice

Annual Sports Dinner takes place on Friday 30th April at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow. Speakers include Peter Martin, Craig Brown and John Rowbotham. Tickets from the Hospice on 0141 435 7018. Further information at http://www.smh.org.uk/.
