Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity C

Thanksgiving Mass

Next Sunday at 11.30am Mass, we welcome all the children who recently celebrated First Holy Communion.

Church Stall

The Church stall is available after all weekend Masses (Vigil, 10am and 11.30am) in the Theresa Hall. We currently need helpers and if you would like to help please call John on 563 7479.

St Vincent's Prayer Book

This little book of prayers is now available from the Sacristy costing £4.

RCIA

The next meeting of this group is on Sunday 6th June at 3.00pm.

St Joseph's 60+ Club

The 60+ Club will meet on Monday 30th May at 2pm in the Theresa Hall. Please enter by side door.

 

Legion of Mary

The Annual Thanksgiving Day at Carfin will be on Sunday 20th June and a bus has been organized to leave Douglas Street Car Park at 1.30pm (returning about 7pm). The cost for the trip will be £6. Please leave your name on the list in the Church porch or call John Munn on 563 7479 for further information.

St Joseph's Giant Summer Tea Party

We are looking for people to host afternoon tea in their own homes / gardens as part of this Church Project Fundraiser between June and August 31st. For details / tickets please contact Ann Gilmore on 956 3545 or Dorothy Parkin on 563 7767.

 

Award in Catholic Theological Education

If you would like the opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith this two-year part-time course may be of interest to you. Whilst primarily aimed at those who wish to exercise the ministry of Catechist in the parish, it is also suitable or those who wish to study for their own purposes. St Joseph's Primary School - Summer Fair

The School's Summer Fair this year will take place on Saturday 5th June from 11am - 1.00pm. All donations of raffle/tombola prizes, or books, dvds and nearly new toys, as well as homebaking, would be gratefully received. Please come along and join in the fun.

To be baptized, confirmed and come to share in the Eucharist is possible at any age! Today, men and women from a variety of backgrounds are responding to the call to follow Christ and celebrate the Sacraments of the Church. Scottish Marriage Care

Interested in supporting and developing relationships? There will be an opportunity to find out about the Diploma course commencing December 2010 at the Open Evening to be held at Scottish Marriage Care, 196 Clyde Street on Thursday 17th June at 7pm.

The Pro-Life Group

The Pro-Life Group at St Lucy's, Cumbernauld would like to invite you to the Vigil for Pro-Life on 11th June beginning at 6pm with Rosary. The evening will continue with Mass, Holy Hour, Stations of the Cross and Discussions ending with morning Mass at 9.30am. A hot and cold buffet will be provided. All welcome.

Archdiocese of Glasgow Arts Project (AGAP)

The new programme of events is underway for the Autumn. A few to mention would be Praise Gathering 2010 -  400 voices drawn from over 150 Scottish Churches performing from 4-6 June at the Royal Concert Hall; Spirit of Life Youth Choir are looking for new members aged 12-21. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings 7-9pm at Renfield St Stephen's Centre; and Working for Unity, Glasgow the Welcoming City - first engagement is on Sunday 13th June at 3pm in Glasgow City Chambers where AGAP will perform a short drama. God of truth and love, your Son, Jesus Christ, stands as the light to all who seek you with a sincere heart.

            As we strive with your grace to be faithful in word and deed, may we reflect the kindly light of Christ and offer a witness of hope and peace to all.

            We pray for Pope Benedictand look forward with joy to his forthcoming visit to our countries.

            May he be a witness to the unity and hope which is your will for all people.
