Forty Hours Adoration
Father McGrorry will be leading the services as follows:
Sunday 29th August at 6.30pm: The theme is "The Successor of Peter visits the children of Andrew"
Monday 30th August at 7.30pm: The theme is "Joseph Ratzinger - a journey of faith"
Tuesday 31st August at 7.30pm: The theme is "Pope Benedict speaks to us".
Faith Sharing Group
To prepare for the Pope's visit, we hope to have some Faith Sharing / Prayer Group meetings. The first will be on Monday 6th September at 7.30pm.
Papal Visit Radio Station
Information on the new youth Radio Station and Podcasts etc will be available next week.
Music Rehearsal
There will be music rehearsals at Our Lady of Lourdes, Cardonald, for the Papal Mass on Monday 16th August from 8pm - 9.15pm and Mondays 23rd and 30th from 7pm - 9pm. These rehearsals are open to anyone but are of particular importance to those who will be members of the Papal Choir.
We hope to have rehearsals in this Parish nearer the time.

Parish Project Pledges
Many thanks to the 78 people who have completed the pledge forms and handed them into the Sacristy. We will be totaling up the pledges at the end of August - so there is still time yet! This will enable us to work out what we as a Parish can afford to spend on this project.
Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary meets in the Winning Room every Wednesday at 7.00pm. Anyone who would like to be an auxiliary or active member of the Legion should speak to John Munn or any other member.We organize a stall in the Theresa Hall after all the weekend Masses.
There will be a bus going to Carfin on Friday 13th August for the Commemoration of the Fatima Apparitions. The cost of the trip is £6 per person leaving Douglas Street car park at 6.00pm. Please leave your name on the list in the Church porch. Further information from John on 563 7479.
Sacraments 2010/11
If you have a child who would like to celebrate the Sacraments of First Confession, Confirmation or First Holy Communion this coming year, you or someone representing you, must attend the preparation meeting on Thursday 9th September at 7.30pm in the Church.
Glasgow SPRED
A member of the Parish, Neil Galbally, has recently run the Mens 10km road race on behalf of Glasgow SPRED, a charity that helps adults and children with learning disabilities. SSVP (Scotland) - Flag Day
The Society of St Vincent De Paul has been given permission to collect funds on Saturday 21st August in the City Centre/Byres Road/Parkhead/Shawlands/Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street areas. Anyone who is able to help should leave their name in the Sacristy. Any funds raised by our volunteers will return to St Joseph's to assist in the work of the SVDP within the Parish.
