Special Collection - 29th April


The Special Collection next weekend will be for Ecclesiastical students.


Sacramental Preparation - P4


The Sunday Club for Primary 4 children preparing for First Holy Communion will take place today, 29th April and 13th May in the Church Hall from 9am until 9.50am.



Fairtrade Café


Fairtrade Café is on this Sunday after 10am Mass. The SVDP Youth Group raffle for the 5 Fairtrade Hampers will be drawn at the café! All the taste, none of the qualms.


Parish Pastoral Council


The next meeting for the PPC will take place on Monday 23rd April at 7.30pm. Please enter by main hall door.


Mitsidi Group


The Mistidi Group will meet on Monday 23rd April at 7.30pm in the Winning Room. Please enter by back kitchen door.



SVDP Boxes


Following the theft from one of our boxes in the porch, during 11.30am Mass last weekend, the boxes will stay inside, at the back of the Church, when we are not holding them. We are very grateful to all those who donate through the boxes and hope this location will not cause any inconvenience.


Sitting Exams?


The parishioners praying the Rosary after 9.30am Mass, will remember all those sitting exams every Monday over the next couple of months.


Justice and Peace Commission


International Earth Day is celebrated annually on 22nd April. Events are held worldwide to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth's natural environment.


Scottish Fair Trade Forum


The Scottish Fair Trade Forum are holding an event on Monday 23rd April at Kilmardinny Arts Centre from 7pm - 8pm. Speakers will be two Fair Trade producers from Malawi who are visiting Scotland. They will talk about the difference that Fair Trade has made to them and their community. For more information got to http://www.sftf.org.uk/.


Mass for Vocations


The monthly Mass for Vocations will take place on Monday 30th April at Little Sisters of the Poor, Cumnock Road, at 7.45pm. The Celebrant is Mgr Kenneth McCaffrey.


The Newman Association (Glasgow)


2012 Lecture Series continues on Thursday 26th April in Glasgow University Chaplaincy at 7.30pm. The speaker is Dr Catriona MacDonald, reader in Late Modern Scottish History. The talk  is Thoughts on Scottish Independence: Contingency, Circumstance and the Claims of Pasts (and Poets). Admission £3.



Knights of St Columba


Weekend of Witness will take place 27th - 29th April at St Alphonsus Church, Glasgow. Opening Mass at 7.30pm. More details on the noticeboard at the back of the Church.



Ecumenical Vespers


....will take place at St Andrew's Church, Bearsden on Thursday 26th April at 7.00pm. The preacher will be Rev Colin Caskie (former Minister at Penilee), Clerk to the Presbytery of Dumbarton and this year he is the Presbytery Moderator.


ECMO - Our Journey of Remembrance


A Service for bereaved families will take place at St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral, 300 Great Western Road, on Sunday 29th April at 2.30pm. If you would like to attend please email or contact Gillian Wylie at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.


International Nurses Day Mass


All Health Care workers and friends are welcome to the annual Mass on Thursday 12th May in The Glass Chapel, Carfin at 7.00pm.




St Jude & St John Ogilvie

St Ninians High School Reunion
