1.The Society Of St. Vincent De Paul bears witness to Christ and
his Church by showing that the Christian faith inspires men and women
to work for the good of mankind.
2.To Establish personal contact between members and those who suffer need,
and to bring to the father the most effective and brotherly aid possible.
3.Membership is open to any practising Catholic man or woman, and in some
parts of the world non-Catholic Christians are admitted into full membership.
4.The St. Joseph's Conference in Milngavie is badly in need of new members.
We only have three men in the Conference, and two of these have passed
their 70th birthdays
some years ago. Another five members are required and it would help if
two of these are women.
5.The Church door collections and donations are used to bring help to
those in need; first of all in the immediate district of Milngavie, and
then further afield through other
organisations. Help is also given to our twin Conference in India.
6.We are not a secret Society but we do strictly adhere to the rule of
'confidentiality'.
7.Membership does not infer an onerous task, and the act of Charity brings
it's own rewards.
8.We meet every Sunday at 12:30pm following after the 11:30a.m. mass
9.Come and Help and put a little something back into Society.
